Adventure: Escape to Key West

8:47 AM

My boyfriend and I are prone to cabin fever, so whenever offered the opportunity to leave Miami, even if for just 24 hours, we jump on it. Though we experienced this amazing weekend getaway a little over a year ago, I felt the need to share it for two reasons: 1. I'm dying to re-experience it. 2. I think it's a little secret you should definitely learn about.
One random weekend in March, we decided to greet the spring season by heading down to Key West with his brother and girlfriend.

Just three hours outside of Miami, I was truly stunned at how different life is at the southern most point of the country.
Cocktails, water adventures and scooters summed up our glorious Saturday and Sunday afternoon and made for a very relaxed, sunburnt group of young professionals.
Having recently discovered Fury Key West Water Adventure, a day long sail boat that includes sailing between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic, we were able to jet ski, parasail, kayak and snorkel, all for the affordable price of $119.
The best part was wrapping up the night along the coast of Florida, greeting the sunset as we sipped on complimentary champagne and listened to fantastic live music.
Our trip may have been only 24 hours, but we felt absolutely rejuvenated – a sweet reminder that every once in a while you have to just disconnect in order to reconnect with those you love most.
