Adventure: Birthdays Done Right

Rather than an adventure-specific post, I'll center this one around gratitude. In search of a life less ordinary, I'm lucky to have found a man that makes us anything but ordinary. 

Alexis and I are elaborate in every aspect of the word. We absolutely love going all out for celebrations of all sorts, particularly our birthdays. This year, he planned a surprise trip to Atlanta Georgia, where my older brother lives, so that I could celebrate my birthday with my sibling by my side while enjoying one of my favorite cities.




On the list of itineraries:

•  World of Coke ( I'd been dying to go)
• A night out in Edgewood and the Highlands
• Sunday Brunch at an ATL staple, Gladys  Knight & Ron's Chicken and Waffle Restaurant 
• A visit to the Georgia Aquarium 
• And my personal favorite, the opportunity to see my absolute favorite band, the Foo Fighters on their  Break A Leg Tour.

Watching Dave Grohl rock out with a broken leg was probably the most metal thing I've ever experienced.

What an incredible weekend that allowed me to appreciate all the beauty and adventure  that 25 brought me, and all the adventure that'll continue to pour into 26.
