The experience of seeing a waterfall was absolutely surreal -- I've dreamed of seeing one my whole life, finding them to be incredibly magical and romantic, but I always figured I'd have to venture out to a foreign location in order to scratch this item off my bucket list. I truly believe this is what made this particular experience so beautiful -- it was entirely unexpected.
Our friend Jio told us about this hidden gem Saturday night over cocktails and live music -- with it being only 20 minutes outside the city, he offered to drive us out on Monday morning and without really knowing what we were doing, we said yes.
Just 20 minutes outside of the city, we paid a visit to the picturesque town of Roswell. We spent a cool Georgia morning hiking through the muddy trails and it was well worth it.
When we arrived, the river and waterfall were painted brown with mud, and yet, we couldn't be more grateful to take in this breathless site. Our morning hike taking in nature was the perfect way to wrap up our incredible trip, scratching off another item from my bucket list.
I can't wait to return and have a picnic on site.
